Gancho Table

Custom designed center table inspired by the Gancho—In Tango, it is a gesture of purposeful entaglement —the table translates this movement into sweeping wooden curves. The table holds the gancho in a moment of stillness: a reaching limb, a sudden hook, two bodies briefly entwined. Its wooden edges sweep outward and turn back toward one another, tracing the space between movements. Resting on slender legs, the architecture carries the tension of that encounter in a moment of approach, release, and  then stillness.  Stained American Walnut.  240" x 48".
